Election Day Voting

Polling places are open from 6am to 9pm in General Elections.

Absentee Voting

In order to vote absentee in New York you must meet one of the following conditions:
  • You are absent from your county or, if a resident of New York City, absent from the city on Election Day
  • You are unable to appear at the polls due to temporary or permanent illness or disability
  • You are unable to appear at the polls because you are the primary care giver of one or more individuals who are ill or physically disabled
  • You are a patient or inmate in a Veterans’ Administration Hospital
  • You are detained in jail awaiting Grand Jury action or confined in prison after conviction for an offense other than a felony
You are eligible to vote in New York if you:
  • Live in the precinct where you vote for at least 30 days prior to the election
  • Are at least 18 years old by Election Day
  • Are a resident of New York
  • Are a U.S citizen
You are NOT eligible to vote in New York if:
  • You are on parole for a felony conviction or convicted of a felony
  • You are in prison or detention or jail or penal institution

We have a special meeting this coming week. We will be joining the Jefferson and Clinton Democratic clubs for a Presidential Debate Watch Event this coming Wednesday, October 19 at 7:30 pm.

We will be meeting at:

Beforehand you will hear from our local elected officials about the upcoming election. Additionally, we will have a representative from Hillary Clinton’s campaign who will share updates and let you know how you can be involved. This should be an exciting event as we rally together to support Hillary Clinton for president. Hope to see you there.
